The VINDICATOUR made a massive impact in Toronto on Monday, May 25th, packing HISTORY with energy and emotion. The crowd was treated to an unforgettable evening of performances from a stacked lineup that included As December Falls, TX2, From Ashes To New, and Black Veil Brides.

Opening the night, British band As December Falls immediately captured the audience's attention with an energetic performance that set the tone for the evening ahead. From the very first seconds of their set, the band totally hooked the crowd, even though most of the audience was seeing and hearing them for the first time. Their crowd work felt effortless and natural, devoid of scripted lines, and the crowd loved it. The announcement that the band plans to hit Canada again next year drove the audience wild. As December Falls' performance was the perfect kickoff for the night; thanks to their genuine live connection, their fanbase undoubtedly grew, even with just a six-song set. Their performance showcased the band's infectious enthusiasm and helped build excitement as fans filled the venue in anticipation of the stacked lineup.

Already familiar to many in the venue, TX2 followed with their signature high energy and unapologetic expressiveness as the crowd loudly sang along. Frontman Evan Thomas didn’t slow down for a second. During their second song, he and guitarist Cam Rostami demonstrated their fearless stage presence by leaping into the photo pit before making their way over the barrier and straight into the mosh pit. For a brief moment, both members disappeared entirely into a sea of fans as the audience erupted with excitement. This spontaneous interaction blurred the line between performer and crowd, creating one of the night's most memorable moments and reinforcing the band's reputation for delivering engaging live shows. They also performed the track 'The End of Us' (featuring Black Veil Brides), which was met with an especially emotional response since the crowd was already eagerly anticipating the headliners.

From Ashes To New continued to build the momentum with a powerful and emotionally impactful set. The band had the audience fully invested as they worked through a collection of fan favourites. Beyond the music, frontmen Matt Brandyberry and Danny Case took time to address a recent viral video involving a fan. In the video, filmed at one of the tour's previous stops, the fan could be seen singing along to the band's hit single 'Die for You' with tears streaming down her face. The band had shared the video on their social media accounts with the caption, "The kind of connection people say music can't make anymore." While the band found the video deeply moving, it unfortunately went viral for the wrong reasons, leading many internet users to comment hurtful and vile things about the fan's appearance.

Disgusted by the actions of online bullies — including some of their own followers — attacking a fellow listener, the band took it upon themselves to use the experience to stand up not only for that specific fan, but for anyone who has ever endured bullying and harassment. They paused mid-set to deliver a heartfelt speech against bullying that resonated throughout the venue, encouraging concertgoers to support one another and promote respect within the music community. This meaningful message added a deeper layer of connection between the band and the audience, highlighting the positive influence live music can have beyond pure entertainment. Ultimately, From Ashes To New left a lasting impression, earning an immense level of respect from everyone in attendance — especially those seeing them for the very first time.

The moment everyone had been waiting for finally arrived as headlining act Black Veil Brides took to the stage, receiving an explosive welcome from the Toronto crowd. For many longtime fans, this performance was years in the making; some signs held in the front row even read, "I've waited 16 years for this," making the band's arrival all the more special. The audience eagerly sang along as Black Veil Brides delivered a set packed with their most beloved songs, creating memorable moments from beginning to end. Having been a massive fan of theirs during my teen years, I completely related to the fellow fans who had been waiting so long to experience one of their live shows. Needless to say, being able to photograph them made the night feel even more surreal for me.

Frontman Andy Biersack proved once again why he remains such a captivating presence on stage. Between songs, he frequently interacted with fans, using his trademark sense of humour to keep the atmosphere lively and entertaining. His witty remarks and playful exchanges with the crowd provided a second layer of entertainment that complemented the band's impressive musical performance. These moments helped create a welcoming and personal atmosphere, making fans feel like an active part of the show rather than simply spectators.
