Skid Row have officially entered a new era.
The legendary hard rock band has announced Justin Sargent as their new lead singer, introducing him as the new voice of Skid Row.
“NEW BLOOD. SAME ATTITUDE.”
With those words, Skid Row officially welcomed Sargent to the band on October 29, 2026.
“Meet JUSTIN SARGENT, the new voice of SKID ROW!” the band announced.
Sargent’s arrival marks the beginning of what the band is calling “THE NEXT CHAPTER,” as Skid Row continues its legacy with a new frontman behind the microphone.
To celebrate the announcement, Skid Row have also released a new video featuring Sargent performing The Who’s classic anthem “Won’t Get Fooled Again.”
Fans can watch the new video below:
The band has also announced that the new single will be available to stream at midnight.
A New Era For Skid Row
The announcement follows an extensive search for a new vocalist.
Skid Row launched a worldwide search for their next lead singer earlier this year in partnership with Sweetwater, opening the audition process to singers from around the world.
The band had previously teased the announcement with a cryptic video featuring the words “Take a bow for the new revolution,” immediately sending fans into speculation about who would ultimately take over vocal duties.
Now, the mystery is over.
Justin Sargent becomes the latest vocalist to step into one of hard rock’s most recognizable frontman positions, following Erik Grönwall’s departure from the band in 2024.
Grönwall joined Skid Row in 2022 and appeared on the band’s album The Gang’s All Here.
Following Sebastian Bach’s departure in 1996, Skid Row have performed with several different vocalists, including Johnny Solinger, Tony Harnell, ZP Theart and Grönwall. Lzzy Hale also famously stepped in as the band’s live vocalist for several shows in 2024.
With Sargent now officially behind the microphone, Skid Row are ready to move forward.
And judging by their announcement, they’re not looking back.
“NEW BLOOD. SAME ATTITUDE.”
“Honestly, for me, it felt like he had been here from the beginning as soon as he walked in the room. He was one of us. A lifer. Then he sang with so much power and conviction, it blew me away.”— Rachel Bolan
“We were so fortunate to receive so many audition submissions from singers wanting to front the band. We wanna thank everyone for their time and effort. There are some truly amazing singers out there! But I think that the moment Justin walked in the door we all kind of knew he was the guy. Everything about him; his voice, his attitude, his demeanor, it all just fit. We can’t wait to hit the ground running and get back to doing what we love to." – Snake Sabo
"I’ve been singing Skid Row songs for years, but never imagined I’d actually be joining the band! It’s an incredible honor to be part of something with such a legendary history. The chemistry and energy we’ve found together over the past several months has been amazing. I have tremendous respect for the band’s legacy, but I’m even more excited about what lies ahead. I can’t wait to get out there, connect with the fans, and give them everything I’ve got. Let’s go!” — Justin Sargent
