Mastodon Roar Back: New Album Announced, “Snakes For Dinner” Video Out Now

Progressive sludge metal titans Mastodon have officially announced their ninth studio album, Marrow Deep, set for release on August 28 via Loma Vista Recordings.

The announcement follows the recent release of the album’s first single, “Your Ghost Again,” and now arrives with the debut of a second track, “Snakes For Dinner,” featuring Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age. The crushing new single showcases Mastodon’s signature blend of progressive sludge metal while Homme’s unmistakable vocals add another layer of intensity. A music video for the song has also been released.

Fans can now pre-order Marrow Deep ahead of its late August release.

The upcoming album follows the band’s recent documentary, The Mastodon In The Room, which premiered last week and offers an intimate look at the band’s creative journey and enduring legacy.
