Kamelot, Visions of Atlantis, and Frozen Crown on the Dark Asylum World Tour-Toronto Chapter.

A massive shout-out to Inertia Entertainment for bringing this incredible metal billing to Toronto! It was absolutely awesome seeing the Phoenix Concert Theatre packed so early in the evening for the opening acts on September 19.

Frozen Crown completely surprised me. The Italian band’s energy was full of warmth and charisma,balanced perfectly with a powerful wave of the finest power metal. Lead vocalist Giada "Jade" Etro has an amazing stage presence. Alongside founder and guitarist Federico Mondelli, lead shredder Alexandra Lioness, guitarist Alessia Lanzone and Niso Tomasini on drums, they completely won the crowd over with bangers like "Kings" and "Neverending".

The second act was VOA . This was my fifth time seeing Visions of Atlantis, and I still cannot get enough of them! They are fun,amazing musicians who bring a pure atmosphere of happiness to the room—the entire venue was singing along to every song, especially during "Clocks", "Melancholy Angel", and the epic encore "Armada". Dual vocalists Michele Guaitoli and Clémentine Delauney are seamless on stage. Their dominating vocals and the effortless way they guide the fans through the show are breathtaking every single time.

Headliners Kamelot closed out the night by showing exactly why this run is called the Dark Asylum World Tour! How can I even explain it? Tommy Karevik’s strong presence is completely hypnotic; you literally cannot take your eyes off the stage. His voice was on point and fearless, as always.

Founder and guitarist Thomas Youngblood inspired everyone throughout the set, and the entire band—including bassist Sean Tibbetts, keyboardist Oliver Palotai, and drummer Alex Landenburg—was tightly locked in. You could literally feel the massive exchange of energy moving from the stage to the crowd and returning right back to them.

The great energy stayed consistent from the very first note of the night to the final encore, especially during Kamelot’s setlist when the bands collaborated live. Giada Etro from Frozen Crown kept returning to the stage to power up tracks like "Ashen World", "Liar Liar", "New Babylon", and "March of Mephisto". To top it all off, both Giada and Clémentine Delauney joined Tommy for a jaw-dropping performance of "Sanctuary" and , "Sacrimony (Angel of Afterlife)".
