After more than four decades of groundbreaking music, Brazilian metal legends Sepultura have officially played their final concert. The band said goodbye to fans on November 7, 2026, at Suhai Music Hall in São Paulo, Brazil, bringing their farewell journey to a close in their home country.

The historic performance marked the culmination of the band’s *Celebrating Life Through Death* farewell tour and featured an extensive setlist spanning different periods of their remarkable career. The evening also brought together musicians who played important roles in Sepultura’s history, alongside special appearances from members of the Brazilian and international metal scenes.

Metal Allegiance opened the evening, setting the stage for an unforgettable night. Members of Krisiun and Sacred Reich were also involved in the celebrations, adding to the significance of the band’s final performance.

One of the biggest highlights of the evening was the return of former guitarist Jairo Guedz. A member of Sepultura during its early years, Guedz reunited with the band for three songs: “Biotech Is Godzilla,” “Slave New World” and “Troops Of Doom.”

His appearance was particularly meaningful, bringing the band’s early history full circle and giving fans the opportunity to see one of Sepultura’s original members sharing the stage with the band once again.

The final concert also featured several unexpected setlist choices. “Altered State” was performed for the first time since 2013, while “We’ve Lost You” returned after an 11 year absence. “Itsári” was another particularly special inclusion, marking its first performance since 1998\. The band also brought back “Reza,” which had not been performed live since 2005.

Other guest appearances included Krisiun guitarist Moyses Kolesne, who joined Sepultura for “Itsári” and “Kaiowas.” The latter also featured fans joining the band on stage.

Yohan Kisser appeared during “Convicted In Life,” while João Gordo joined the band for “Reza.” Members of Ratos de Porão also shared the stage with Sepultura for performances of “Crucificados Pelo Sistema” and “Beber Até Morrer.”

The guest appearances continued with Chained Saint members Ethan Kahn and Sean Sterling participating in “Propaganda,” Eminence guitarist Allan Wallace appearing on “Dusted,” and Amilcar Christofaro joining the band for “Beneath The Remains.”

Sepultura closed the main portion of the concert with “Territory” and “Refuse/Resist.” For the encore, the band returned with a drum solo, followed by a shortened performance of “Ratamahatta” and the final song of the evening, “Roots Bloody Roots.”

After more than 40 years, countless albums and performances around the world, Sepultura’s journey as a performing band has come to an end.

From their early death and thrash metal recordings to their later experimental releases, Sepultura established themselves as one of the most influential metal bands to emerge from Brazil. Their music helped introduce Brazilian metal to a worldwide audience and inspired generations of musicians.

Their final performance was more than a farewell concert. It was a celebration of the music, the musicians and the fans who helped make Sepultura such an important part of heavy metal history.

The band may have taken their final bow, but their legacy will live on.
