We are deeply saddened to share the news that legendary guitarist Ace Frehley, best known as a founding member of KISS, has passed away.
Ace’s family has issued the following statement:
“We are completely devastated and heartbroken. In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth. We cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others. The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension. Reflecting on all of his incredible life achievements, Ace’s memory will continue to live on forever!”
Ace Frehley’s impact on the world of rock and roll is immeasurable. As the original “Spaceman” of KISS, his iconic guitar work, songwriting, and larger-than-life stage presence helped define one of the most influential rock bands of all time. Beyond his years with KISS, Ace forged a successful solo career that inspired generations of musicians.
Fans and the global music community mourn the loss of a true icon — a pioneer whose riffs, charisma, and creativity changed the face of rock music forever.
