No breaks, no slowing down. Lamb of God tore through Great Canadian Casino Resort Theatre

Last night at the Great Canadian Casino Resort Theatre was one of those shows where you feel it right away. This wasn’t going to be a chill night.

With Sanguisugabogg, Fit for an Autopsy, Kublai Khan TX, and Lamb of God all on one lineup, it felt like there was no real break from start to finish, and honestly no one wanted one.

The sound held up all night. It was heavy but still clear, which makes a huge difference with a lineup like this. From the pit, you could feel everything without it turning into noise. The crowd fed off that the entire time. Constant movement, loud reactions, a steady stream of crowd surfers, and no real reset point.

They opened with zero hesitation. Straight into it, no buildup. It felt raw, loud, and immediate.

Seeing Cody Davidson on guitar alongside Eric Morotti on drums stood out right away.
It brought a slightly different feel, but it still landed just as hard. If anything, it made the set feel even more unpredictable.

Having interviewed Cody before, it was actually a cool moment seeing him up there like that.

Tracks like Face Ripped Off and Dead as Shit came through heavy live and got an instant reaction. The pit opened almost immediately and didn’t really slow down. It felt a little unhinged in the best way and set the tone early.

Fit For An Autopsy

They came in and immediately locked the room in. It didn’t take long to get pulled into what they were doing.

Everything felt tight, layered, and intentional. The sound really stood out. It felt big without getting messy, so you could actually take in what they were doing instead of it all blending together. Far From Heaven was one of those moments where the whole room just locked in.

From the pit, you could feel how focused the crowd was. People were fully engaged, watching and reacting together.

By the end of the set, it was one of those performances that sticks with you.

Kublai Khan TX

This is where things really turned up.

From the first breakdown, it was nonstop. No breathing room, just one after another. The pit got heavier and way more physical, and you could feel that shift instantly.

You didn’t need to know the songs to feel it. Tracks like Antpile and Self-Destruct got some of the biggest reactions of the night, with the entire floor moving at once.

And even one of the female security guards up front was getting into it, which honestly says everything about how hard this set came across.

This was one of those sets you feel in your chest more than anything else.

  • Low Tech
  • Antpile

Lamb of God

By the time Lamb of God hit the stage, the room was already fully alive and they still managed to take it further.

Randy Blythe was nonstop.
Running across the stage, working both sides, constantly moving, and still completely locked in. He hasn’t lost a step. You could feel him pulling the entire crowd in the whole time.

The band sounded tight and powerful, and the mix was easily one of the cleanest of the night. Everything came through exactly how it should.

The crowd matched them the entire time. The pit stayed active, but it wasn’t just the pit. The whole room was in it. People shouting lyrics, nonstop headbanging, hands up everywhere.

Songs like Laid to Rest and Redneck got exactly the reaction you’d expect. The entire place going off.

And somehow in the middle of all that, there was a group of people in banana costumes making their way through the crowd, which honestly just added to the whole experience.

At certain points it didn’t even feel like separate sections of the crowd anymore. Just one big reaction happening all at once.

  • Laid to Rest
  • Blood Junkie
  • Into Oblivion

This was one of those nights that sticks with you. Not just because of the lineup, but because of how it felt being there.

From the pit to the back of the room, everything stayed locked in the entire time. No drop in energy, no weak moments. Just a night that reminds you why live shows feel the way they do.

If you were there, you’re probably feeling it today. And honestly, it was worth it.
