Lita Ford Gears Up for an Explosive Casino Rama Show — Exclusive Interview

2 min read

Heavy metal icon Lita Ford is revving the engine and turning the amps all the way up as she prepares to hit the stage at Casino Rama, promising fans a night of blistering riffs, powerhouse vocals, and pure ’80s metal fire.

Best known for her trailblazing role as guitarist for The Runaways and her hugely successful solo career, Ford remains one of heavy metal’s most enduring and influential figures. With classic anthems like “Kiss Me Deadly,” “Close My Eyes Forever,” and “Lita,” her live performances continue to deliver the raw energy and attitude that defined an era—and still resonate today.

In an exclusive interview with Metalhead Marv, Ford opened up about returning to the stage, connecting with longtime fans, and what audiences can expect from the upcoming Casino Rama show.

MARV:

What's the message you'd like to send to everyone coming to the show?

LITA:

We're so happy to be coming up your way in Canada. And we're just so happy to be performing for everybody on Valentine's Day weekend. And it's going to be a really special show. My band is excited and we're excited to see everybody there. It's going to be badass.

MARV:

You inspire generations of musicians, especially women in rock and metal. Do you ever stop and think about the impact you've had?

LITA:

No, I'm reminded of it all the time. You know, I'm really, I just want to be Lita. And I think that's one thing that was in the very beginning of when I first started, it was original. And people didn't quite know how to handle the situation with, you know, she's a great guitar player. Yeah, but she's a girl. Like, oh, nobody told me that. Oh, well, what am I going to do about it? I guess I'll just keep playing guitar. And over the years, you know, it's okay. It's okay to be, you know, a female and play guitar now. I love it. It's the year of the female this year, I think, 2026, the decade of the female, maybe.

The Casino Rama performance is set to feature a career-spanning setlist packed with fan favorites, deep cuts, and the kind of guitar-driven intensity that has made Lita Ford a true heavy metal legend.
