On July 2, 2025, Black Veil Brides delivered an electrifying performance at Toronto's Coca-Cola Coliseum, igniting the crowd with their signature blend of theatrical metal and high-octane energy. This concert was part of their North American tour in support of BABYMETAL, marking a significant collaboration between the two bands.
They opened with the cult classic song Knives and Pens, a personal favorite from my teenage years that brought back a flood of nostalgic memories. The raw emotion and power of the track set the tone for the night, instantly connecting the band with the audience.
Love them or hate them, these guys are undeniably great at what they do. Tracks like Bleeders and Faithless showcased the band's evolution, blending heavy riffs with melodic hooks that kept the crowd on their feet. Andy Biersack’s commanding stage presence was magnetic, engaging fans with both his vocals and heartfelt interaction.
The theatrical elements of the show, from dramatic lighting to striking stage design, amplified the immersive experience, making the concert feel like more than just a live performance; it was a full-on spectacle. The crowd's enthusiasm was infectious, with sing-alongs and cheers echoing throughout the arena.

Following Black Veil Brides’ high energy set, BABYMETAL took the stage and instantly transported the audience into their intense, genre-bending world. With pounding beats, precision choreography, and an energy that surged through the arena, they reinforced their reputation as one of the most unique acts in modern metal.
The trio, Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto), Moametal (Moa Kikuchi), and the newest addition Momometal (Momoko Okazaki), opened with the explosive “BABYMETAL DEATH”, an adrenaline-soaked reintroduction to their bold style. From that moment on, the energy never dropped. As they moved into “Megitsune” and “PA PA YA!!”, the crowd erupted, fully engaged in the spectacle unfolding in front of them.
The set struck a perfect balance between chaos and precision. Songs like “BxMxC”, “Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!”, and “Gimme Chocolate!!” showcased their signature fusion of blistering metal riffs and infectious J-pop flair, while tracks like “Song 3” and “RATATATA” added a heavier, more aggressive edge that had heads banging across the venue.
If you don’t like BABYMETAL, you’re wrong. These women have earned praise from some of the biggest names in the genre. Rob Zombie, Metallica, Bring Me The Horizon, and Slayer’s Kerry King have all shown support, and it’s easy to see why. BABYMETAL pushes boundaries, blends styles fearlessly, and brings a level of showmanship that few can match.
The encore brought an emotional and triumphant close to the night with “from me to u”, “KARATE”, and the crowd-favorite “Road of Resistance”. The entire arena sang and moved together, closing out the show on a unifying high note.
Visually and sonically, BABYMETAL’s set was a masterclass in performance. From their synchronized movement and digital visuals to crowd engagement and stage dynamics, every detail was sharp and impactful. They didn’t just play a concert. They delivered a fully immersive experience.
