Thrash metal titans Exodus have officially announced their 12th studio album, Goliath, set for release on March 20, 2026 via Napalm Records. The record follows 2021's Persona Non Grata and arrives alongside the release of its punishing opening track, "3111."
Serving as the album's leadoff salvo, "3111" opens with a sinister, tension-building introduction before erupting into breakneck, dissonant thrash. According to the band, the track takes its name from the estimated number of murders in Juárez, Mexico, in 2010, setting a grim tone for the album.
Goliath is further powered by the return of vocalist Rob Dukes, whose presence marks his first full-length with the band since 2005's Shovel Headed Kill Machine. Exodus have described his performance as "the performance of his life."
Notably, Goliath stands as the most collaborative record in the band's four-decade history. Songwriting duties are shared across the lineup, with guest appearances from Peter Tägtgren(Hypocrisy, Pain) and violinist Katie Jacoby, adding unexpected textures to the band's signature sonic assault. Guitarists Gary Holt and Lee Altus deliver razor-sharp dual leads throughout, while drummer Tom Hunting and bassist Jack Gibson anchor the album with relentless rhythmic force.
Produced by Exodus and mixed and mastered by Mark Lewis (Whitechapel, Nile, Undeath), Goliathbalances raw aggression with modern clarity, staying true to the spirit that has defined the band since their genre-defining 1985 debut Bonded By Blood.
"Are we excited for this record? That's an understatement," the band shared. "We put everything we had into this record (and it's 80 percent complete follow up, but we'll save that conversation for another day!) and it's one of our proudest accomplishments. Wildly collaborative, the most band centric album to date with four songs written by Lee, lyrics by Gary, Rob, Lee and Tom, and just killer all the way around. The time to let the monster loose is coming! Bow Down!"
