Anthrax Announce New Album ‘Cursum Perficio’ And Unleash New Single This Friday
New York thrash metal legends Anthrax have officially announced their long-awaited new studio album, Cursum Perficio, arriving September 18th.
The band will release the album’s first single, “It’s For The Kids,” this Friday, May 15th, giving fans their first taste of new Anthrax music in nearly a decade.
For years, Anthrax have teased the arrival of new material through studio updates, interviews, and snippets shared online, building anticipation among fans worldwide. Now, the wait is finally over.
Cursum Perficio marks the band’s first full-length release since 2016’s For All Kings, ending a ten-year gap between studio albums and launching a powerful new era for one of thrash metal’s most influential bands.

Known as one of the “Big Four” of thrash metal alongside Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth, Anthrax continue to push forward while remaining true to the aggressive sound and energy that helped define the genre.
Although album artwork and additional details have yet to be revealed, excitement is already building rapidly ahead of Friday’s single release.
