An Abstract Illusion's masterpiece album The Sleeping City was released on October 17th via Willowtip Records. For me, it was my top rated album released in 2025. An Abstract Illusion are a progressive death metal band from northern Sweden who incorporate elements of black and melodic death metal that blend seamlessly with their progressive core.

An Abstract Illusion will be playing their first North American show this August at Progstorm in Montreal. If they don't end up getting a Toronto date, I'll gladly be making the trip to Montreal to see them. Some bands are worth the travel - and this is one of them.
