027 ignites Hamilton with Raw Groove Metal Energy

On the second day of their Ontario tour, Kitchener based trio 027 brought their gritty, groove punk sound to INTO THE ABYSS record store in Hamilton. Known for playing DIY venues and all-ages shows, these guys have a raw energy that’s impossible to ignore.

The band consisting of Caleb Lavictoire on bass, Gray Laine on drums, and Keagan Ross on guitar and vocals, got their name from a gamer tag Caleb used as a kid. They kicked off the night with Gray’s favourite track “Cabbage Head,” a ferocious opener that literally stopped people walking down King Street to peer through the windows.

After that, they rolled through:

  • We Know (Keagan’s favourite)
  • Vermin
  • Endorphin
  • Seacan (Caleb’s pick)

To close out, they dropped a killer cover of King Crimson’s “21st Century Schizoid Man,” which got everyone hyped.

With an Ontario wide tour underway, 027 is proving they’re a band to watch, bringing raw energy and groove metal fire to every stop.
